Insight Reports provide a broad sample of visitor behavior for any geographic location in the United States. Insight reports are ideally suited for quickly understanding audience behavior to guide your business and clients with keen knowledge about customers and competitors.

Behavioral data displayed on this report is based upon Mobile Ad IDs (MAIDs) observed in the Geoframe(s) within the audience during the lookback period. A device is observed when a user is actively utilizing their device, have opted-in to location services at the app or browser level, and are physically within the Geoframe boundary.

Best Practices for Building Insight Reports

  • Visitor demographic trends are best captured with an audience size of less than 1M devices.

Tip: If your audience is larger than 1M devices, create a secondary audience in a key market or utilizing a subset of locations to generate the Insight Report.

  • Make Sure Underlying Geoframes Are Specific Location(s) - Avoid creating Insight Reports for Geoframes that cover a larger geographic area such as a city block or college campus. The reports are designed to display visitor trends, which will be difficult to discern when there are multiple businesses or locations within the larger Geoframe.

How to Create an Insight Report

Click the 3 dot "action" menu to the right of your audience, and select "Generate/Share Reports"

Select "Prepare Demographic & Insights Reports"

The report will begin to process, you can close out of the above menu before the report completes. The progress of the report will be indicated in the Job Activity list accessible via the gear icon in the top right corner of the platform:

Once the report has completed, you can access it by going back to the "Generate/Share Reports" option in step 1 above, or from the "View Audience Details" screen and selecting "Generate/Share Reports." Select the "Insights" checkbox (or all boxes if you'd like to view all reports at once) and then "View Reports."

The URL above or within your browser as you view reports can be shared with anyone, regardless of whether they are a user of the platform or not!

Elements of an Insight Report

  • Unique Devices - Represents the total number of unique Mobile Ad IDs (MAIDS/Devices) observed within the Geoframe(s) during the specified lookback period of the audience.

  • Total Visits - Represents the total number of devices observed (including initial and repeat visits) within the Geoframe(s) during the specified lookback period of the audience.

  • Locations - The total number of discrete Geoframes used to capture the unique and total visits observed.

  • Cumulative Visits by Day - An aggregate visualization of daily unique device observations within the Geoframe(s) during the lookback period.

Note: The chart is cumulative by day, so the previous days' observation count is being added to the following day throughout the lookback period.

  • Visits by State of Residence - A visualization of the density by state of the household addresses associated with devices observed in the Geoframe(s) during the lookback period.

  • Visitor's Households - An interactive map representing the household locations for the devices observed in the Geoframe(s) during the lookback period.

Note: Not every device has been matched to a household address - so this visualization is a subset of the total devices observed.

  • Visitor Frequency - The aggregate number of observations per device in the Geoframe(s) during the lookback period.

  • Visits by Hour - An aggregation of all device observations in the Geoframe(s) during the lookback period by hour of day.

  • Visitor's Zip Codes - An aggregation of all device observations in the Geoframe(s) during the lookback period by household zip code.

Note: Not every device has been matched to a household address/zip code - so this visualization is a subset of the total devices observed.

  • Visits by Day of Week - An aggregation of all device observations in the Geoframe(s) during the lookback period by day of the week.
