Our partnership with OpenX allows users to publish audiences on over 70 DSPs that do not currently have a direct integration with the platform. This is done through the use of a Deal ID. OpenX is one of the leading ad exchanges for data and identity that includes a large network of publishers, advertisers, and buyers.

OpenX is not a DSP, but rather allows users to access OpenX inventory on the DSPs that they integrate with, and matching inventory to devices that were identified in the audience you built using the OnSpot platform.

Utilizing OpenX Deal IDs allows you to publish and run campaigns on DSPs that OnSpot does not currently directly integrate with, and the OpenX device graph allows for expansion of your campaign beyond mobile to include CTV, Desktop, Mobile, and OTT device targeting.

Below is the process for publishing audiences to OpenX in order to generate a Deal ID that can be used in your DSP of choice.

  • Select "Publish" from the 3 dot "action" menu to the right of the Audience in the Library or when Viewing Audience Details and Select "OpenX Deal ID" in the drop-down menu

  • Select any Audience Extensions you would like to apply (Household, Lookalike, Social, Legacy)

  • If for a CTV campaign, toggle the red button next to "CTV" to turn it green

  • Select the DSP(s) you would like to use for your campaign in the drop-down menu. NOTE: you can select multiple DSPs in this step.

  • Set up your publish schedule. More on the different Publish Types (REFRESH, REPUBLISH, RENEW) here.

  • Publish the audience. You will receive an email from OnSpot Support with the Deal ID that you can enter into your DSP when setting up the campaign that will be associated with the published audience.
