Weekly Attribution Report Scheduler
Create an attribution report schedule based on selected Target and Destination audiences that will automatically clone every 7 days. More on Target and Destination Audiences here.
NOTE: You must create a new attribution report during the scheduling process. You cannot create a schedule for an existing attribution report.
Users can create a schedule that will automatically generate a new attribution report every 7 days using a cloned version of the destination audience(s) for the 7-day interval. There is an option to continue using the original target audience or roll it forward with an updated clone for each report. Attribution reports can be scheduled for up to 26 weeks. Once the schedule is created, a new attribution report will be generated as soon as the data is available for the next 7-day interval.
Hover over the 4th option on the left menu and select “Schedule Attribution Reports”
Click on “Add New Schedule,” and add Target and Destination Audiences as usual just like a standard report. After adding in the audiences, you will arrive at the last setup page where you will be able to select additional options as seen with the red arrows below.
NOTE: When making changes to the schedule, please refer to the green summary box located on the right. This box will automatically update when you make changes and will notify you of what you can expect one you hit “Save and Run Report.” It is highly recommended to re-read this summary as you make changes.
Select “Weekly” on the “Monthly/Weekly” toggle.
Select if you would like to “Roll Target Dates Forward”
If your Target audience(s) has set date ranges that do not change throughout the campaign, do no select this option.
If your Target audience(s) is being updated every week as new data becomes available, select "Roll Target Dates Forward." This will clone the Target audience rolling the dates 7 days forward for each new report.
Select a date for “First Report End Date” – This will be used as the end date for the destination audience in the first scheduled attribution report. The destination audience will use a 7-day interval with the selected date as the end date.
Select the # of weeks you’d like the attribution report schedule to continue for using the “Recur for” option. 26 weeks is the maximum.
Attribution Report Scheduler Function Definitions:
Roll Target Dates Forward – When toggled on, target audiences will clone 7 days foward for each cloned attribution report. When toggled off, the target audience originally selected will remain uncloned for scheduled reports.
First Report End Date – This is the end date of the 7 day interval used in the first scheduled report. Ex: 4/22/22 selected as First Report End Date, the first generated attribution report will use the destination audience(s) with a date of 4/16/22 – 4/22/22.
Recur for – This is the number of weeks the attribution schedule will generate new reports.
Generate Attribution Locations/Journey Reports – When selected, each attribution report will automatically generate the selected reports.
Clone on second run – Cloning of the target and destination audiences will occur on the 2nd scheduled report. The first report will use the original date ranges from the selected audiences.
Clone on first run – Cloning of the target and destination audiences will occur on the 1st scheduled report.
